By trade and training I am a high school physics and math teacher.  But when my son was born in the spring of 2009, I realized that loving and being a mommy was fulfilling for me in a way I had never imagined.  To be responsible for the care and nurturing of such a precious little person is a wondrous responsibility.   I love the process of watching my children grow and the honor of getting to be part of that process.

But at the same time, being a mom has always been a bit disorienting for me.  I often feel wholly unqualified for the job and as soon as I think I've got something down, it all seems to fall apart.  (Its like children can smell confidence the same way they can smell the instant you lay down for a nap.)  So this blog is the story of my journey through mommyhood- learning as I go, taking it one step at a time, and learning to give myself some grace along the way!
